I don't think it's that manipulating,, the seme didn't force himself on the uke like most bl manga I've seen
the seme knew the uke was inexperienced and yet still behaved so immaturely when it came to physical intimacy and sex...i couldn't enjoy the childhood friends to lovers dynamic when the seme was emotionally manipulating the uke all the time. he needs to grow up.
