actually its not that Itadori isn't really related to todo or geto........... honestly its actually Yuji's curse......... if Im not mistaken...... from the pervious chapter Todo had some memories of Itadori that never actually happened

I think some of the chapters kinda of forshadowed it for the beginning like say before Junpei died, Itadori really wanted Junpei to come Jujutsu tech because he would fit in like everyone else and wouldn't have to be alone but Mahito basically just decided to turn Junpei's soul in a mutation which killed him in the process
This also happened in another chapter in after Kokuchi body was restore to its original form he really wanted to join the other shamans in person beacause ever since his body was not in a good condition due to accident that had happened to him
but alas Mahito ended up killing him as soon as Kouchi actually believe that he won the fight against Mahito
maybe yuji, choso and todo have the same father? and that father is kamo (the guy who possesses geto's body rn) cuz choso said kamo went around as a cursed spirit and toyed with his mother sooooo maybe yuji's mother and todo's mother had been toyed too idk this manga f*cked up my brain
