The prince and the MC think the king is involved the the devil, who is creating the cursed black marks, which also relates to the monster who is hunting crest holders. The Prince with red hair bought the poison root earlier in the story which was used on the family once before, so the Prince and the MC decided to fake the posioning of one of the girls, and have the prince go to the capital to help with the crest hunter mission for credit as the prince. HOPE THIS HELPED TEE HEE.
