He says he has sex with men and women of all ages but it's a means of money as he had to move at 18. (He became desperate for money) additionally, the director for the movie wanted him to have sex with the chickens - Yuuki didn't want to, and was being sexualy harassed by the director and couldn't say anything less everyone think him bad. (No on else could say anyhting as they all wanted to keep thier jobs too) he wouldn't have gotten paid and his career wold have ended. The reason he had sex with ibuki was for the same reasons, howveer I really don't see it as justifiable either. :D just some things i felt the first two translations here didn't really capture

There were no laws for it from 2018 last i checked, this was made before that so in a way, yes. That being said, the chickens were more of a comedy skit in this part due to the exaggeration placed in the scene

People have a strong reaction to it because it’s basically animal abuse hence why it’s outlawed in most countries. And like children, animals can’t consent to it. I wouldn’t say it’s comedic, just extreme in what he was being asked to do, because he’s basically raping a chicken.

Oh, you are right. I was more talking from a reality standpoint in how the porn industry works. In Japan the porn industry is more geared towards making female porn actresses popular. They also get more money. Porn over there for male actors is mostly meant to be a side gig, as it also doesn’t pay well, especially in the beginning. That being said in the bonus story they do frick - there IS a second volume I also have, not yet translated tho haha, in it, is 6 fully fledged chapters only focusing on the boku no sex star story so maybe we'll get more answers/ insight there! Oh no no no i completely get that! I don't agree with it either and def know that's rape, but what I mean is that the comic is trying to make it a joke (dark humour, by showing how the author doesn't agree to it via making it a skit) that being said, it's also a cultural difference, Japan (And other asian countries) is a lot more open about these types of things in their adult material, see things like killing stalking etc, when comparing the tone of the two you can pick up on when the author is being serious or not. Not that I'm defending it, because I'd never, I'm merely saying how such content was able to be published, as it's not percieved the same way here, hence the humour

I wished they wouldn’t have just cut this story off after 2 chapters, leaving us with such cliffhangers that make you question the whole relationship to focus on some other one shots. This issue should have been addressed immediately before they went off to the hotel too bang. It’s a little weird for the author to later offer us, as you said, 6 chapters about them in vol 2 that actually gives us more answers (maybe lol). I wonder if the author got some backlash by the publisher, or readers were pissed about how this story was so unresolved with that whole bestiality stuff, Insta hook up without romance and questionable morals of the uke and made the decision to dedicate like a whole volume to this couple to appease the reader base. Or maybe people just craved more and couldn’t give a crap about the animal abuse. I would have never thought to see a ml where I have to question myself if this dude is worth rooting for because of some chickens. And the uke as well. I think originaly it was supposed to end after those two chapters, but people liked it so much she was asked to make more. I have another manga similar in my shelf, it's all one shots with the first one being used as the title for the volume, but at the end the author sensei went back and created a bonus chapter for the first "Main" oneshot. As for the bestiality stuff, yeah, manga and hentai alike often have questionable conent that's not accepted in the western world, so it's normal to come across those things for them (Of course not everyone accepts it, it's an incredibly small niche) but they'll not blink an eye to it cus it's all for entertainment, probably the reason I didn't think much of it either until I showed a friend who was also concerned haha. So backlash from publishers? No, there are way worse and more serious hentais out there that feature bestiality and actually use it as a plot feature (That is to say, the whole "Main event" you get excited for IS the bestiality, which is why here in boku no sex star is seen as "a comedy skit") and they get published, readers? again in japan, south east asia, etc, not really. That part was a small part, and seen as a joke, so most (Not all but most) would have seen it as a "Oh no the poor chicken!
