Maybe I've got too big expectations because I've read the story for 2 years and faced many unpleasant situations because of being Joowon's fan... So when author presents me with cliché accident and other things which imo very not so well executed... It made me disappointed.

Joowon already had a lot of time by himself to think about his and haesoo’s relationship and what it means to him, and who he is as a person... Haesoo didnt properly get that. Instead he was too busy with Taku than getting the rightful self reflection he needed. Ofc he had SOME: enough to realize that he was unfair to Joowon and wrong for not telling Joowon his true feelings.... but he was not able to think about himself as a person because he was not alone. Thats why he asked Joowon to take some time apart. He obviously loves Joowon very deeply, but thats like not enough to make their complicated relationship magically work. I was upset about the timeskip but I understand it now
