actually the roles ARE usually reversed. the entire POINT of this comic is that the "roles are reversed" and the woman is the one who wants/loves sex and the man is the one dragging his feet. man = more sexually needy or aggressive or the iniatiator is such a standard trope in romance of any kind (whether it has sex or not) that we dont even blink at it. yall wouldnt even notice half the stuff havi says or does as "problematic" if she was a man. you'd take it as a matter of course because thats What Men Do or w/e.
Also unlike men irl she has no power with which to make him do anything he doesnt want to do. she cant force him physically, she has no financial power over him, no workplace or legal authority, she doesnt verbally abuse or gaslight him into making him doubt himself or subsume his own needs for hers. she is just vocal and straightforwrd and assertive about what she wants and who she is as a person. which if she if she was a guy NO ONE would think anything was offputting about that cause we as a society accept and expect men to 1. be assertive and 2. want/need sex. like so much of this bullshit wrt Havi in the comments is because she is a woman not in spite of it. like just sit and think about what media usually portrays male leads in romantic relationships and then come back and tell me that Havi is somehow 100x worse than any of those guys are. (Havi is outgoing and loud, Yul is quiet and reserved. somehow this has caused people to interpret Havi as a bully and Yul as a pushover. which is unfair to both of them.
