Since it’s serialised in mainland China many bl authors are often forced by their publishing companies to take away the romance factor in the stories when it becomes popular
an example would be a Chinese web novel called saye, where the two mcs are romantically in involved but in the physical copies when it became popular they were written as just friends :(
So it may not ever develop into bl
I read all of it and yeah Jian yi is gay but we haven't exactly seen the other (can't remember his name) share his feelings, also he tian is kinda hitting on little mo but that's it. Just because a manga has gay characters it isn't considered BL, after more than 300 chapters there's still no explicit ( I don't mean r rated) romance
Yeah I agree zhen xi doesn’t openly say anything or nothing is actually confirmed but him accepting/understanding him an kissing his forehead etc. is shown, so it’s kinda like it’s open-ended, you can interpret that part as them starting dating or just understanding/accepting him
So yeah I also get why it cannot actually be considered bl too, because nothing “bl” is openly expressed, but it still is imo
DISCLAIMER: I haven't actually finished reading 19 days but I HAVE READ A GOOD PORTION OF IT AND I HAVE TALKED TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE READ IT BEFORE MAKING THIS-
Anyways personally I feel like 19 days shouldn't necessarily be classified as a bl. Yes it does have "homosexual tendencies" ig but i feel like it doesn't actually clearly depict a same sex relationship. A lot of people have described 19 days as being "bl-esque" rather than clealry being a bl. At this point, it kinda seems like queerbait which i rly hope is not the writer's intent. And yes it is ongoing so maybe the mlm relationship(s) will eventually become more apparent? DO NOT GET ME WRONG I DON'T DISLIKE THE MANHUA i simply don't know whether it's rly a bl or not.
anyways i REALLY wanna hear your guys' opinion on this cause i'm like rly confused- thx :) (=・ω・=)
