honestly, I really like the plot and the shit going on. This is clearly not a romance webtoon but rather a thriller or psychological.
The story is not intended to be lovey-dovey cutesy shit so I don't understand why people are disappointed with it cuz its clearly not that genre and from the beginning of the story we knew that fucked up shit was gonna happen.

I really fucking love the plot though, the yaoi part comes second(its like a cherry on top). I'd read this even without the yaoi honestly.

Sorry but I don't see PotN as a psychological or thriller kind of manhwa. There is nothing obeying to those codes, even if you remove the yaoi aspect. The plot is so straightforward and predictable it doesn't make the experience of reading it enjoyable. People find it infuriating right now because of how repetitive it came to be.

For me it became less enjoyable since the kidnapping scene. It could have been a decisive plot device setting another dynamic for our main characters, but it became just another fodder for a rape scene. And the character supposed to be cunning and far more intelligent than he seems to be is reduced to be a man-child throwing tantrums in form of rape.

I could detail a bit longer what are my thoughts about it but long story short, the story could go for the better or for the worst depending of how the author could go and what she can explore given everything she has set do far. But for now, it's really going in circles.
