Hmm if he fell in love with him as an adult... how is that pedo just because he meet him when he was a kid? It seems he was not in love with him as a kid. That is not what a pedo is. They have to be sexually interested in kids below the age of 13.
So Even if he was in love with him as a kid, which does not mean sexually interested, the romantic relationship happen after he was an adult and cancels out pedo.
Meeting someone as a kid and then after 18 they have a relationship is not pedo. Think about how many best friends dates/marries their best friend’s sister/brother as both adults when they meet them as a kid. :-/
