yes bruh, that scene made me tear up honestly and it played a huge role in the people's perception of him in the future. This Japan arc was heartbreaking honestly. Though I cannot blame the artist if they felt the need to not include it anymore since the Japan's betrayal/sabotage plan in Jeju island was changed a bit in the manhwa. This conference was really intense honestly, even the bets of American hunters in Jin Woo's success, just talks how he really is getting global; too bad it was not highlighted.
At this point, i guess I'm just happy I get to read the novel and know the little details that are not included.. i just read the scenes while filling up the gaps in my head.
I'm surprised by how much detail this chapter skipped from the novel.
SPOILER BELOW
The detail of Korea announcing they're not going to help Japan with this issue because of the past with the Ant situation where Japanese Hunters were ready to allow the Korean hunters to die. This moment emphasized the dispair of the Japanese people as they watched the conference and see their last hope of surviving to die with those words. At this point the big Japanese cities were being razed by the giants with a small kick of their feet or a wave of their weapon. People were getting killed and eaten left and right and the Japanese were losing hope of surviving. Plus the fact the giants had easily killed a Japanese S-rank hunter and neither Korea nor America wanted to lose any of their S-ranks.
This made it hit harder when Jinwoo decides to solo it and offer to help Japan, turning into their only life-line before the giants completely whipped out the nation.
