For me, I felt okay about Hate Mate. I didn't love the ending, but I didn't hate it either. I felt like it was realistic and simply accepted it, as I wasn't hardcore shipping anyone really and just there for the mc.
With Loh though, yeah I would've been actually upset if Joohae weren't endgame. imo the story wouldn't have made a lot sense if it wasnt them... we've had too many chapters of them helplessly pining after each other for it to suddenly be like "poof! haesoo no longer loves joowon!". wouldve made no sense lol, the author clearly meant for them to be endgame
For a while I thought this might pull a Hate Mate. But then I came to understand the extent of Joowon's love for Haesoo, both in the past and present,, and how much he wants to be better for Haesoo and genuinely DOES become better, and braver, and ready to bare his feelings even if it means getting hurt or rejected. And I knew Joowon was endgame whew( ̄へ ̄)
Oh and also how Haesoo always thinks about him even with Taku. Even in that date Haesoo described as something that "should have been perfect" with Taku, his thoughts still wandered off to Jowoon. It was so telling.
