I guess, it's Sapporo all right. If I read it right, Yoh is leaving for Tokyo from the "New Chitose Airport" which would be at Chitose, some 50 km south-east from Sapporo.

I think somewhere I've seen something about Sapporo. Also the amount of snow at Christmas seems to indicate Hokkaido. But Yoh came there by local train from Tokyo, as he says. So I don't really know. What do you think?
