Tbf I get that, but from the spoilers I read I was just mad at the fact it happened in the first place. Like, I think it was kinda unnecessary for them to even go down that route and do the woohoo, making their relationship 100x more complicated than it already was. And then to chuck postpartum depression in to the mix as well to drive home the fact that their relationship is pretty much screwed...
Of course, I get the authors intent of showing the struggles of childbirth and the implications it has for the mother, but at the same time, I just found it kinda harsh. I'm being selfish wanting their relationship to stay as it is ╥﹏╥
Read the spoilers and I can't believe I was seriously looking forward to the ML and FL having a life-long loyal friendship based on mutual respect despite their gender ╥﹏╥ IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!?!? I DIDN'T EVEN WANT THEM TO GET TOGETHER!!!
Like, I get that the author of the novel probably wanted to emphasise the torment some women go through with childbirth and societal gender norms, but isn't this too much?? the FL in the novel needs to take responsibility for her actions. That's what makes women strong! Instead of portraying her as immature and hysterical.
