Lol everyone hates the male lead. Tbf I like him cause its refreshing. He's mysterious, cold and slightly a-hole which brings him out from usual male leads you like right on the spot. That is toooo clique and can be read 8/10 isekais, so ehh ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Yes, ofc i agree with you, its just that usually in isekais though ml's are cold they are somewhat easily fallen for the fl while they remain cold to others. Here it just takes longer than usual for ml to open up for fl as he tries to hide his duche side, looking all wholesome which makes people "hate" the ml and not wanting to ship him with the fl. Thats why i said its refreshing and not typically seen.

It doesn't matter what personality the ML has whether it's nice guy or asshole, as long as they're written interestingly enough.

There's only so many limited archetypes. Anything can be a cliche.

But most of the time my I prefer assholes for longer series, and nice guys for shorter series. It's very rare to have an interesting nice guy in a long-running novel. But if I could mix the two, I prefer the asshole-goodguy combo 6___6)
