i am not against you or anything, what you said was right. it is annoying when they associate white skin with innocence and purity. I understand what you are saying, but i just wanna say there are white Arabian ppl too. not all of them look the same (and if they do make a chr that look Egyptian/Arab they will make it stereotypical which is more annoying to me tbh)
Sure white totally arabs exist, in fact my own mother has light hair, green eyes and white skin (But I don't look a bit like her, people don't think she's my mom) . But this is still a minority of arabs, it's really not the majority, in morroco people always mistake my mother for a white woman, even tho she was born and raised there. So I don't have any problems with portraying arabs uke as white as long as it is not systematic because like you said white arabs sure exist and there's a lot of them (but still a minority) . The issue I'm putting light on is that arabs uke are ALWAYS white, because of the idea of purity of Asia standards beauty. And it's just kinda disrespectful. It's just not logical, like, every character are tanned (even side characters) , but not the uke?! That's hella weird. If you're in a arab/Egyptian region, you will take more uv rays, so obviously your skin gonna get more tan than other regions of the world so that's just weird for the uke to be the only white boy
For example, my mother has white skin and it's genetic (she's part kabyle) but still, back in morocco (she lives in France rn) her skin was still a little bit tanned because of uv rays, so I don't get why the uke would be the only one to have a protection barrier from uv
you are right, it is hella weird. and yeah whenever I go to my hometown (egpt) I do get tanned a little. so you are correct, they should not have made it obv that the uke is the only one white, they could but some variety in colors (or shades since it is all b&w) but they didnt. and I dont think they noticed. tbh I dont know how to think abt that

The story is great and I really wanted to love this story, but the fact that the uke is the only one having white skin even tho he comes from a world where everyone is tan is off putting to me. I'm seriously being fed up with the "pure and beautiful innocent angel peony white skined uke" cliche, as if dark skined people can't be "pure" and always have to be the seme/more dominant one. We want more tan/black uke! And more realism! If you want to make an egypyian/arab world then put egyptian/arab looking people in it.
