.Eventually they do get in engaged but in the beginning they are dating for a long time. How it began is that Aria announces to society she's investor A & the Prince does the same at the school opening. They come out as a couple for clout (but the Prince really does like her). The prince's goal is to rid the kingdom of the noble sector that's isn't loyal to the crown. In this story there are 2 sides the Royals vs the Nobles. Rn the Nobles are in charge and the Royals don't have any power. The one in charge of the Nobles is Asher's sister the Dutchess. This is how Aria fits in. With Aria's increasing power & Fame the Prince uses it to his advantage (in a positive way) to get the people's attention and love for the royals. Aria's uses their relationship as a stepping stone as a Cinderella story. The people eat it up as they become this mega watt Celebrity Power couple around the capital. Eventually they admit their feelings but it takes a long time and many things happen along the way.

They are kinda but they HATE each other. I believe he was forced to get engaged but it's only for political reasons or it was an unofficial engagement something like that. When Asher& Aria ( aka A^2) debut as a couple the common people see it as a true love story like Cinderella. As the Prince &Aria become more of the IT couple and gain more love from the people the Dutchess and her faction lose more power. Which leads to a domino effect
Give me spoilers I heard/saw(?) From someone that our ML and the "fiancee" aren't really engaged and those were just rumors.... Can someone explain or something, who would spread that kind of rumor that everyone in the country believed about it????
