I think he was trying to resemble his boss more, he wants to show the director how the substitute acts so to be more convincing, he needs to look like the substitute, and the substitute's eyes is the easiest for him to imitate rather than the hair, nose or ears



And i do think its still racist even tho u are the same race if you mock your fellow asians with the westerner's stereotype of asians
