I agree. But I feel sorry for her though. Rather than having a relationship with a guy who loves someone else, I think she did the right decision.

don't feel sorry. she wasn't in love with him, so its all good! it was just a convenient engagement and they liked each other enough but they weren't in love. which is much better, because imagine having had this story with her being totally in love with him? man, complications.
Yeah, it's a MUCH happier ending this way. They liked each other and can stay pals. They didn't LOVE each other.
