I don't have a problem with the story containing rape. I knew from the beginning that this was a fucked up story. I just don't think it's necessary a rape scene lasting two full chapters seeing Seungho raping Nakyum in every position possible.

Exactly! As a Killing Stalking fan, I have no issues with fucked up content, but for example Koogi never indulged in a two chapters rape marathon. At this point it's just rape porn and nothing else.

I've never read Killing Stalking, but I read Sakura Gari which is a lot more fucked up than Painter of the Night and it's one muy favorites. It's a really twisted and tragic story, but very beautiful and poetic.
One of the problems with Painter of the Night is that you feel like you're reading the same thing over and over again. We already know that Seungho is fucked up, let's move on to other things, his father, Lord Song, Inhun, Nameless, Jihwa, whatever, but I don't wanna see rape again.

I recommend it to you then, it's a masterpiece! And yes I agree, it's very repetitive. If you think there are a lot of antagonists (you even forgot Min, who wants to rape NK too), this means we will see Nk suffering again and again. Boring
luckily, i don't care at all about Potn, i think it's severely overrated and a stale pile of boring uninteresting clichés, besides the blatant rape porn.
