I love Joohae but I also want another route for Haesoo

I’m still disappointed at how we got less Joowon x Haesoo moments in the present. It was more on the negative side of their relationship. I wanted deeper talks and them acting sweet with each other after their endgame but we got a time skip instead :') On the other hand, I also wanted a different route particularly for Haesoo. For most of the story, we don’t really see Haesoo’s character development and it seemed he was usually drowning in self-pity. It would have been better of he settled for taking up therapy before thinking of going into a relationship cause he just seems to bottle everything up. He needs more time for himself and Idk if going into a relationship with Joowon is immediately gonna fix that...esp with how he’s brought up by his mom ╥﹏╥

I'm disappointed in lack of Joohae senec too, I wanted to see them getting domestic, going through their issues, problems, feelings...so author skipping that part was meh for me.
On the other hand Haesoo had character development. He reflected on his actions, his and Joowon's relationship. He was the one who said stop to their unchangeable, unhealthy ways at some point. And finally he chose himself and his feelings instead of society's and his mother's views.
Also it's not like relationship limits you from getting better and fixing your own issues.

Yup, if the author was building up for Joohae endgame then she should have created more background for them and them going past their issues. Joowon and Haesoo still haven’t cleared up their feelings properly. I wanted an in-depth route for them after getting together but sadly the author rushed that.

In terms of Haesoo’s development, for me I wanted him to be free of his pent up feelings. Therapy would have been good for him considering the amount of things that happened in his life. It can really mess someone up. I also believe that if they both waited for each other in the span of 10 years, waiting again for Haesoo to actually free himself from what he’s felt isn’t a problem. I’m just saying to give himself more time and focus on himself cause all that time, he was also jealous of Joowon and even admitted how he didn’t want him to be successful. That is the reason why I wanted him to get some time for himself before actually diving into a relationship with the one person he’s been on-off with for a long time.

Yup I'm also kinda disappointed how rushed the ending is and how author avoided the most interesting (for me at least) part of them getting together and working together towards better relationship.

Unfortunately therapy is rarely discussed in East stories beside very severe cases when the character has very serious mental health problems.

We can always argue they didn't want to "waste" any minute after Joowon's accident, that they've faced the reality of how fragile human's life is and didn't want to life in regret any longer.
