actually it was supposed to end this year but because of the popularity boost it'll continue on for a few more years. they've also hardly grazed the surface. if it were to end so soon thered be a shit ton of plot holes

Horikishi-sensei said something about this series ending soon and honestly, if this is where the ending is going, I’m gonna be really upset. I’m sure all of us are upset, but we have to respect his decision. Just as how we should respect his decision on having no romantic relationship happening. I personally believe that there should be something that is similar to a happy ending, but if we don’t get that, then we have to respect it. This series is definitely in my top five and I love it dearly. I will definitely re-read and re-watch over and over again. ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ~
