i understand that logic of "he's not the same as the alternate ruve," and i agree, he's not the same because aristia is not the same.
here's what i mean by that, because aristia made a drastic change in her personality and changed her actions because she was traumatized by the ruve that treated her harshly. so looking at it like that, the current ruve is now attracted to her because "she seems different now" or "she's not the girl that i remember!" but the fact is, she changed because she was terribly mistreated by him.
to further my point, its like a toxic ex from an alternate universe abuses, and rapes their partner. now, this partner gets a chance to relive their lives and avoid their mistakes, however this causes that toxic ex to like this person (their partner) more because their personality is more likable to them.
this romanticizes abusive relationships and toxic mentality, and devoids the whole plot of our MC becoming an independent woman and making sure never to end up with ruve again.
i hope you understand! i personally don't like ruve for aristia because the author makes light of her traumatic past life events as no big deal if the handsome main character gives a few heartwarming moments!
yoo i dont get why ya'll hating on the current ruve, he hasn't done anything bad yet unlike the previous ruve:(( and we also know of his backstory before he became evil and all...are you just gonna bring down a person who hasn't done anything bad yet? I get that the previous ruve is a shitbag and it makes me wanna run him over with a car but the current ruve already redeemed himself...please don't come at me with umm angry replies...i just wanna let ya'll know my opinion...please correct me tho...
