I share the same love view as the first uke - love is so fleeting that it's ever changing. nothing last forever. like when u watch ur parents' wedding video and they are so happy exchaing vows and vow to build a future together but is already divorced because one or the other parent found someone they love more and as a kid u was like...wat? didn't u marry mom because u love her and vow to build a future together, now u saying u found a new partner and a new future to build and u r abandoning us? sigh. love is so fleeting, how many time did i change bf now? i even forgot that.

I'm 61 and married to my first and only husband of 42 years. I don't think peopler understand the difference in "falling in love" and "being in love". Some peoplea think that the feelings you have when you fall in love will stay the same over time, and that is not true. It grows deeper and is more fulfilling, but because it does not have that "rush" of falling in love, they begin to think that they no longer are in love. When people fall in love they picture the future as an old couple holding hands as they walk thru a park or something. Just like that mature couple "love" matures too! Like a baby finds everthing exciting at first, it does not feel the same as they grow older. Their choices change and their feelings and emotions mature along with it. It isn't a bad thing, just different. Like a fine wine, love improves with age. Falling in love is great, but staying in love and savoring the stages it takes to get to that "old couple holding hands" is worth the journey. So don't be afraid to fall in love, and enjoy the ride to the future you. I'm so glad that I did!
