that just how people do when they don't have words to describe something new tho. as "male bride" is not something common, might have never happened before even so they just end up using words they are familiar with but still able to describe the information behind :))

It is a fixed thought after all, they think a union has to have a husband and a wife not 2 husband.

Ryo didn't seem to mind it at all so I guess it was fine
this is one of my favourite manga of all time tbh the only thing that annoyed me was that everyone called ryo qualtacas wife or bride
