Why do I do this to myself

I don’t even read the story because it’s not interesting (to me) yet I scrolled through most of the chapters because I wanted to see babies. I don’t even like kids

Yeah I feel like, she is such a neglectful Mom though. So cheetah cubs are cute, we all know that. But so are baby snakes and she totally ignores them. Worst mom ever. Also all these guys keep falling in love with her, but all I want to keep screaming is, freckles don't make you ugly and just because you have a little bit of Squish, doesn't make you ugly. I'm only here for the kids too. I just want to make sure they live through the story

Yeah I did noticed how little the baby snakes were shown which was disappointing. I hardly saw her take care of any of them :/

They take a lot more care of the snakes in the novel than is shown in this. There's a lot that gets left out.

Actually the baby snakes can't be spoiled like the leopards because if she raise and spoiled the snakes they will mate her even she is their mother. She wants to but Curtis in novel already warn her not to because he will be force to kill them. Yes even if they are his kids. I'll give you a bit spoiler if you want.

I remember reading that as well. It does make sense since snakes really don’t take care of their babies after they’re born but I still wish they could have shown a little more of the snakelings. It’s probably just me wanting to see more of the babies

Isn't there a scene where the baby snakes tried to come back and see their mama? And Curtis chased them out? We are seeing the baby's intention thru Curtis perspective but they are HALF human. He doesn't really know them as a species. The baby snakes even said they missed their mama. They could be baby half human snakes who really miss their mama... and it is Curtis who misunderstood

In the novel they actually take a lot more care of the snakes than is shown here, right up until the point that Bai's life is in danger and Curtis can no longer spend the time and energy trying to raise them when, for their species, they are ready to go off on their own. Bai was keeping them around longer than they needed. They are a hindrance to the effort of trying to save her and old enough to take of themselves, so Curtis tells them to go and takes off after Bai. Stop reading now if you don't like spoilers.

Several hundred chapters and about two years later, Bai finds out one of her snake sons is nearby, and Parker, trying to make her happy keeps sneaking her out to visit him. After a few times of her visiting him, when the village they live in gets a moment of choas, baby snake kidnaps her and her new baby and runs away. He starts calling himself Curtis, telling her to treat him like Curtis, trying to kiss her, and it's just all around a shit show. She now understands why she wasn't supposed to endear herself to them too much. And to stay away from them until they could create enough of their own memories so they could separate themselves from their father. Wait until they have a mate of their own. Curtis and Parker catch up. Curtis nearly kills the son, but Bai stops him in time, telling him she won't go near him anymore. She'll stay away. And they go home.

There's a reason Curtis is harsh to the snakes and why he told Bai some of the things he did. Because of their inheritance memory making it seem like things they've done, it can be hard to separate the two until they find enough of themselves. It's also why Curtis didn't want them liking her too much because he knew they'd want her for themselves. He didn't exactly hate his children like it's portrayed here. They don't do Curtis much justice in this, he's so much better in the novel. Curtis just has a "I don't want to kill you, but I will if you make me" mentality towards his kids. Because he knows what they're capable of. Sorry for word vomit.

Wow thankyou for explaining them to me. I'm enjoying the story. (●'◡'●)ノ
Ah btw where can I find the novel? I hope it's translated in English,, and may I know from what chapter they were?
And yes,, I totally agree that Curtis is nicer than it shows in the comic. He just wanna love and protect the person he adore.
