Their romance is veeeery slow burn. The couple will only start dating, when they are around 16 years old. There are little to no kiss scenes in the novel (or at least I just don’t remember), and there are only one, a very short make out scene, and that’s it. When they are all grown up, around 20-21 years old, after 5 years of dating they still didn’t do the nasty, and they never mess around with each other
