I saw this beautiful summary of chptr 43 posted in the comments and I thought oh has anyone thought about the parallels between yashiro and doumeki ? Specifically how ryuuzaki had been trying to talk Yashiro out of being a yakuza since he was a teenager... not unlike how yashiro tried to keep doumeki out of that life.Yet here they are.
Also, the way doumeki talks to yashiro now...if he wanted to come off as mature to impress, he is totally failing bc he sounds sassy and petulant (which is so friggin cute, I mean, this is doumeki!) I can't tell if it's lost on yashiro bc I NEED MORE THOUGHT BUBBLES! I want to get in their heads so bad. The sexual tension is more stressful than the cliffhangers.
