Ignoring her, acting all sad and pained. Why not just talk to her? If she doesn't understand herself, seems like he doesn't understand himself either. :-/
Sure he could talk to her but with the way she is now she isn't likely to be honest. I think taki handled it best by avoiding her and essentially dumping her. It opened her eyes and made her chase him a little. After the way he was treated I think he deserves that much. (づ￣ ³￣)づ
That sounds harsh but she IS cheating on him (emotionally).
And his distancing without a clear explanation is cruel, too. So, they both are in the wrong. It's the kind of thing that could lose a girl to another guy--the one she really likes acting like a cold jerk.
Both are wrong but for me any form of cheating ranks as number 1. In taki's shoes I wouldn't want to be around her either. If she is at all unsure she needs to stop pretending and let him go. I feel for him.
And if he's really serious, he should pay attention to her and ask her flat out if she wants to be with him or with the other dude. That's manning up. He's acting very unmanly. But yeah, cheating is not good. Cowardice and cold-shouldering aren't either. They are all signs of immaturity.
