It’s not knowledge he’s just been traumatized by other partners doing what they want despite him saying no so he thinks it’s meaningless to even have a safe word at all
Bdsm without aftercare just seems so sad, idk how people do it
This is why I mostly dropped bdsm story, some of the characters doesn't have enough knowledge to do bdsm, and they just playfully go along with the pain
A good example is "my partner taste and fetishes" I highly recommend this too other bdsm likers, this story include safe word, rules, and even after care, I just hate hate to see them getting abused then called it as bdsm
Then again its only a story tho, just expressing my opinion
