Exactly. As long as the subject of rape is handled in a realistic manner, it's all good. What people have an issue with is when the rape is just glossed over or romanticized.
sadly, most of the time, even if the author handles the scenario very well, most of the fans will romanticize the whole thing. 'm thinking a lot about killing stalking when i’m saying this, the author had already said that their story was a horror story, and that all the stuffs that happened should absolutely not be romanticized, but... even though, the fans totally romanticized the whole story.
TOTALLY AGREED. The story itself is fantastic bc of how the author tells it but the fucking fujoshis that are convinced its a yaoi are scary asf

Because no shit its rape and its okay if mangas with dark themes discuss that topic.
What the problem is and what the discussion should be about is the glorification of it. If this manga properly addresses what happened and painted it in a negative light then thats fine(at this point we don't know if it will). But to just expect everyone to be okay with it if its romanticized is crazy.
I love reading dark stories but we need to detect the difference between a dark story and morally inept one. That's why I find the "then stick to shounen ai" argument so weak.
