he's got his own sexual desires, and in this chapter we can clearly see that he has masturbated before, so he has sexual moments/thoughts too
it's just that he thinks it's wrong and feels extremely guilty and strong aversion to sexual things because of his mother.
asexual people do not have these feelings. his guilt and aversion stems from trauma, not from a lack of sexual desire. he does have sexual desire, he's been telling himself that he SHOULDN'T have these desires. this is the difference:))
and he also said "i'm my mother's son" which means "i'm sexually driven like my mother" (IMO) so he's very clearly NOT ACE
