The way you interpret it tells you more about yourself. The way I see it, the child suffers from Stockholm Syndrome and thinks he loves that disgusting paedophile. Someone else might see it as "love". The artwork doesn't enforce that the pedo is a lover. It enforces the fact that he lost interest in the child after he grew up. "Because you were getting masochistic" is just an excuse. It really shows how fucked up some people are. Also, his shitty mental health was projected onto the child. This shows how some victims remain victims and don't become survivors. He is aware that he was preyed upon but the trauma is so severe that he went as far as to commit gang rape. He is practically screaming for attention and help. I'm sorry but not every victim knows how to get back at their abuser in the correct way. That is the ground reality. These stories deserve as much of a place in the world as any other victim story.
