I don't read the manga but i watch the anime. But yes it getting better until he lost his memory, it all went downhill for me. And even the ending is kinda meh bc he married with touka and have kids?? It's just a no from me
I mean I didnt like TG mainly because of how Kaneki was. Like yeah, he gets cool and yada yada but then he keeps making mistakes...and thinks he needs to get stronger...and even when he is stronger he still keeps making mistakes!! Ugh, but hey Tokyo Ghoul Re is pretty good at first. I really like it...*SPOILERS* until some arcs before the actual end. They revive almost everyone aaaa.
Is it in Tokyo ghoul “RE” that he loses his memory ? Because I hate this trope :(
If it’s possible to only read the first serie of Tokyo ghoul (before “Re”) then I might do that because usually reboots / second parts are meh ╮(￣▽￣)╭

Heyaa, I started Tokyo Ghoul recently and I am at chapter 28 but I can’t get hooked. I think it’s because not much happened yet. Is it going to be better soon? Or should I just try another seinen like parasyste or ajin (or idk you can give me recs)

The chapter 28 is when the mc kills ugly sadistic guy from the doves organisation that was introduced around the beginning of the manga. So that’s for the memory refresh
