idk if I’m sticking around after this

honestly I skipped each of those r*pe scenes because reading or even looking at that crap makes me downright uncomfortable and mad as fuck. These authors need to learn that there are more ways to add drama to a story other than r*pe cuz this shit is SO over used and only makes people not want to read the story anymore. Chapters worth of progress all tossed to shit and for what? 2 little chapters that don’t offer any influence nor contribution to the entire plot? Hope that shit was worth it.

I agree with how there is other ways to add drama. And rape scenes are no good either way. But this rape scene is different than the scene in other comics like Yours To Claim for example. And I think it does go along with the plot, vs the scene is Yours to Claim. It shows the depth of Jihyuks pain, his twisted love hate feelings towards Hyesung, and how Hyesung is no longer his past. How Seung Chan is there for him. Could the author have chose another form of showing us this? Yes, especially since we already knew Jihyuk was a monster. But this is not glorifying rape or no consent touching like Yours to Claim, Your Wish is My Command, Turn off the Camera, and many many other comics. But I understand your anger.

I'm only talking about this story and rape has been quite a big part of the plot since the start. And it needed closure. The author chose to provide this by having the creep come to assault him again, which has always been a fear it'd happen and realistically could, unfortunately. But this time things are different and their character development is not negated, but will help them forward. What I find disturbing with is repeating explicit scenes of rape, that shit is so traumatizing... I hope you're ok

in my opinion, the scenes are still part of the plot and these characters and if yall cant take that.. u guys dont know the realities of society.

You can empathize and be aware of horrible things that occur in reality without witnessing them first hand. You're still able to see how wrong they are and how badly they affect ppl, without having explicit, recurring, rape scenes. That's what I'm saying.

And im saying that op is just just undermining a whole story because these scenes are over used? maybe its over used because this happens more than you think in real life. saying its used for dramatic affect is undermining the entire situation. The same can be scene in historical movies educating about the holocaust, kidnaps, murders and so much more. Sure not everyone can stand it and they dont have to!

im saying that u shouldnt expects these situations to be sugarcoated because that can encourage ignorance.

I understand what your point is. There are plenty of stories though that do abuse tragic/shocking/traumatic events for the sake if introducing drama, even when it doesn't make much sense in the plot or they actually romanticise them, which is sickening.
But in this story (and Stigma is another example that comes to mind), I do find it that rape isn't used in this manner, rather it actually portrays the abuse as the trauma it really is for everyone affected and works around it for each character, how they could and their development. I just skip the scenes bc they're triggering

exactly i agree with you 100%. and OF COURSE.. if its triggering, you need to do whats best for you to skip it and thats totally understandable. I also acknowledge that there are stories (not this and stigma as u said) who try to romanticize rape and thats disgusting..
