Lol yeah in a lot of them this is the case...I've found a few that are more genuine friendships v.b. rose the friendships are more real, and koi dano ai dano. But then the friendships in those are maybe too close lol
I guess it depends on the manga because i generally don't come across that much of a difference.
Well it does make a difference as far as whether it's good shoujo or not so good, the good ones tend to have better friendships...a lot of shoujo mangas the best friend always seems to make a play for the guy in this big betrayal, or they start as enemies...although that always seems to work so...
Or is the feeling you get from friends in Yaoi manga more genuine than the feeling you get from Shoujo manga? I mean in yaoi they'll try to understand what you're going through and give you advice the best they can, while in shoujo, even when the girl's down and not herself the friends seldom notice and support her. Is it just me?
