I think his misunderstanding of her intention has grew. Where she has loved him for 5 years to the point of being able to accept his son and showing that to him by sending the gifts to Abel, writing him letters, and making him a handkerchief. Basically he thinks that she loves him so so much and doing this for his sake instead of Abel. But we all know she stans for Abel LMAO.
I thought that he finally understood that she did all that for his son and not him but seems like i was wrong
