Oh yeah yeah, I thought it was abit off or odd for his grandfather to say those words before he passed. I initially thought that after seeing how itadori was growning and his 'above average strength' and being compatible for sakuna it had to do with his ancestors or maybe like how his parents had passed

Some Japanese fans believe that Yuji is one of Choso's brother. And that memory thingy is actually not Yuji's ability, cause Todo is simply delusional, remember when Takada (his fav idol) talking to him in school settings? That's mean his memory with Yuji is one of his delusion.
(Plz excuse my bad memory so correct me if I am wrong) Wasn't Choso and his brothers made from grief or whatever from a pregnant woman? So maybe Yuuji is one of the 9 children. Maybe that is why the grandfather wanted him to protect/save ppl. Maybe that is why we do not know about his parents

***Okay so I wanted to add onto about how Togou (togo) keeps saying itadori is his 'brother' and like in the chapters after the exam arc where we saw like how itadori and Togou grew up together as children, well I think itadori has something like a power to alternate memories. Just like how we saw choso seeing itadori in a memory and he's now confessed as to why he's in his memories, choso is conscious and know it's off and is now like confused as to why. I think in the next coming chapters they may reveal something related to this bc hence choso is still alive and will probably interfere with getou and his fight in order to find out what itadori did. (Another note I feel like itadori may someday ? like alternate sakunas memories or find something out, I have a feeling itadori and sakuna are somehow related and they may share the same things to like alternate memories but this may be debunked so ?)
