I understand your sentiment. To be fair, this old-school thought made sense here considering the setting and time of this story. If this was a modern story, I would find it more offensive.
I somehow got a little offended by what he said "I'm not like a weak woman." Bruh. Women are not weak. Nah just saying my thought about it.
