I get what you mean, but Roy is not her friend--he is her subordinate, he is one of the people being paid to help keep her safe, and that includes keeping her informed of relevant threats. he swore an oath to her. She trusted that if he was keeping it from her, it must not be something harmful to her. But it most definitely was harmful--Emel is a weakness of his employer that he knows about, and he left her unprepared for the enemy to stab her in it. He massively failed in his duties, because he was treating her like a child instead of his employer. He didn't do his job, so she shouldn't have it.
No. it's sort of a staple at this point that every male in this story hides things from her to protect her, they are still treating her like there was no time skip. how do you expect her to react to secrecy and dishonesty? just smile and say she understands? had rio told her the truth she would have been mentally prepared, she was so caught off guard she hurt herself. lying to her was not the answer
I get that Estelle is be upset abt ppl not telling her things, but I think that she should, like, grow up? Like I get that she had this whole growing up thing during the war, but the way she handles things and reacts is still kinda childlike. I mean, you can't expect everyone to just give you what you want, and she has a brain and tons of resources, use them! If someone doesn't tell you something, find it out yourself, ya know, and don't always depend on other people; use the money/ resources you have to find out stuff!
