Why?

I'm new to this scene but out of all the Korean mangas I've read, why is it that most of them are based on romanticizing rape (6/10)? The uke keeps getting raped by seme and on top of that he gets treated like shit and has to take care of all the mess too. There's no actual character development or plot. The seme keeps raping and suddenly one day he's confessing that he loves uke like wtf bro ヽ(`Д´)ノ

I know right , most of the stories have stock home syndrome plot . And it's so predictable . Same plots but with different timeline and with different characters

Right!! It's so predictable. Same plot line with different character backgrounds and timelines. But het mangas have good plots. I just don't get it?!

Are you sure? From my experience reading yaoi and shounen ai. Most "rape" scene comes from manga. Not manhwa or webtoon. I have already read a bunch of manga and webtoon so I can summarize them. Korean webtoon is still considered "good plot" than manga. All the manga usually start with uke getting forced to have sex - the seme regretting it and distancing himself - the uke kind of miss the sex - the uke fall in love - they got together - some misunderstanding that almost broke them up - clear up the misunderstanding - happily ever after.

Well of course. Not just this genre. Every story or novel or just anything will have similarities. Right now the most common genre is transmigration or reincarnation. The plot can be predictable. But that doesn't mean it was boring. Every story has its own perk. But overall the story is predictable. I have to agree with this. I was pretty much can guess what will happen. Although not all of my predictions will come true.
But so what? Even if I myself make a story, it will still have some similarities with most of the common plot. Because I was inspired by all the story I have read so far.
So, I'm just saying. But if we don't really like the story, you don't have to read it. I mean no one is forcing you to read. Lol...
We don't have to talk bad about the author or the story itself. Even if it was a common genre there are still a bunch of people reading it. And that's why there are still author who make the same plotline. Because it was still trending.

That's all I wanna say. Sorry if I seem rude. Please don't mind this if you don't like it. My intention is good. I just don't want people badmouthing the hardwork of some author. I have seen a bunch of people do that just because the story isn't to their expectations.
