If only you could tell fandom shippers this. Mainly the MHA (my hero academia) shippers. Incase you didn't know on twitter some of the shippers literally attacked and harassed the creator of the manga/anime to put a gay couple in the show. Even going as far as sending death threats to him. I know its old news, but it literally makes my blood boil everytime I think about. They know that the main character is STRAIGHT and already has a love interest, yet they attack this poor man trying to make him change something HE CREATED . Its a shounen anime, SHOUNEN. they aren't worrying about romance right now.
Dont get me started on the Voltron fandom. Toxic ass mfs. The creators never intended to put Lance and Keith together, ever. They had a brotherly relationship between them there was no romance There was BROmance. they gave yall a gay character, then yall called them homophobic because Shiro's lover died. A lot of people died in it his lover just happened to be one of them. He got married in the end with another man anyways, but yall still had a problem with it. The fucking VA's had to tell the "fans" to stop because people kept sending death threats, so much that they almost didn't make the final season because it was too much. Anyways sorry for ranting im just sick and tired of seeing it, it happens all the time. When this stuff starts happening to the fandom I leave idc if there's a good side or not. Yeah the show might be very good but I will not be apart of the fandom
The tweeter comment the yakuza got.. i dont know why but i feel bad for him. he only drew something like a seinen story (about two chivalry yakuzas) and someone commented on his page fangirling about Yakuza BL lol. Oh, the thing most of us do to non BL series; pairing up the male characters and start writing yaoi fanfics and fanarts.
but would people really do that? I mean, coming up to the author fangirling about their story being BL but in reality it's not supposed to be BL?? Dang it I won't even dare to go to the author of seinen titles and fangirling over their male characters like them being together like they're in love.
