their 6 yr age gap is big but its not really that big of an issue me. & look @ hayata......he's only 16 and ryou is 23yrs
I was actually talking to someone about this before; why an age gap is less peculiar the older a pair are. For instance, a 5 year gap between a 25 & 30 is seen as okay but 15 & 20 can make people uncomfortable. Why is that?
Well you see the answer lies in life experience. You learn more about life in the 5 years between 15 and 20 than you do 25 to 30. Basically, though both pairs may be separated by 5 years the younger pair have a much greater gap in life experience.
Essentially, though it's 5 years for both those 5 years have different values depending on the age.
I found them dull since day one. With Hayato and Ryo I see them interact, I see them as characters and understand why Hayato feels that way about Ryo.
But with friggin Kento and what-his-face, it was love at first sight so why should I care about this couple when I've never even seen them interact prior? Why do they even like each other? Seriously? I legit have no clue. With Hayato you know he cares about Ryo because of how awesome and sensitive Ryo is to his family. But what's-his-face appeared and automatocally liked Kento. And Frankly, if the only tension in this couple is the age gap well then really they are not that interesting.
Also I hate that they made what's-his-face really young yet made him look like a proper adult. Just because someone is tall or looks a little older than their peers that doesn't mean they are mentally mature. That sort of shit leads to all kinds of abuse. Just nah, nah man. Its like saying, well he may be young but he looks old enough so its fine-gross.
Kento is taking responsibility for this. He is trying hard to make sure Take is an adult before they go beyond kissing. The age gap won't be as much of a problem when they have waited and developed a relationship without sex involved.
I do agree, however, that I want to see more Hayato/Ryo. I do want Hayato to confess but I see him moving suddenly to his own place so no one in his family knows where he is and Ryo becomes so worried, the confession is less of an awkward older brother thing and more of a well I do care about you and I don't want you out of my life situation.
The former would be a low possibility of acceptance and the later would be one where Ryo would give it more consideration, in my opinion.
I hate Take and Kento the most. Their story is just really boring and gross to me (since the age gap is pretty big). I really want my girl to keep the story trucking and focus on Ryou and Hayato. They have a more tolerable age gap to me even though Hayato is still pretty young (so I'm not denying that). I love this author, but this story is now dragging.
