Is this the story where in the emperor died of illness and the general was ordered to commit suicide? The general was the very first male queen and man of god, right?
I'm not entirely sure but I think I read this along with that story, yes.
Reminds me of the story of a Chinese Emperor and his male General lover who was legendary level pretty. He promised him to make him empress but they weren’t successful I think. But there were rumors they were buried side by side. Who knows maybe this is inspired by that.
