I actually think he does. In some of the panels Ryou's reactions to Hayato seem to give that away. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I feel like the author is dropping hints that Ryou already like Hayato

I’m with you that he doesn’t think about Hayato in that way. i’m sure he love him and we saw how even Hayato’s simple words change his mood it’s just like he isn’t aware of his feelings.
I agree Hayato and Ryou's story will take a long time, that is why i got annoyed when the story is not about them （￣v￣）
