Last I checked Kyo Kara Maoh was a shounen ai (at most), but 9 is definitely too young for real yaoi. Yaoi is adult content with a lot of tropes that are unhealthy in real life. Young kids are impressionable and don't differentiate those types of things well.

ive been reading yaoi since i was 10 so i honestly dont care. i found it on my own when i readying short sexy romances XD it felt akward on the really graphic stuff and i steared clear of it for a year or two and then ventured into it. people know what they are and are not comfortable with.unless your telling them to read it. if you show them a shounen ai and then they get into yaoi on there own, so be it

If you think that this 9 yr. old girl is mature (mentally speaking) then it's probably fine.
I started with yaoi when I was 10 but I was also a very early bloomer, mentally and physically, besides, I spent a lot of time on the internet and I was kind of expecting this stuff.
And where I come from I have great sex ed so I wasn't really surprised.
I personally didn't mind it and I did like it.
So, the thing is that you have to be mentally prepared for some things sometimes and people have different ways and times of maturing.
And these are also things that someone has to find out for themselves.
So if you believe that she is mature enough and she also believes that then its fine.
