They probably meant when he got adopted by Underworld couple. When Poseidon decended to protect his son and Hades decended to fight Poseidon. Poseidon said why are you incarnating into a scenario, you have no right and no business here, therefore probability will not allow it if you don't have a plausible excuse. So Hades said it's to protect his successor, and that's when Persephone asked if Dokja would become their son and Dokja aggreed.
