Yes but love also have boundary...if the person you love will not love you back.. move on..but in her case..she is blind because of love that cause her to be irrational..so yeah..

I think she was just trying to protect her self .the person she loved who was cold to everybody now has a lover and he protects her and that is sometimes scary

That woman tried to harm Chloe over and over because she was obsessed with the notion that Alphonse belonged to her. That his love, his emotions, and everything should have been her's, but she never did anything to earn them. She didn't bother to get to know him, so she didn't love Alphonse just his looks and her obsessed idea of him. She "fell in love" with his looks and her imagination, not him.
