i think they already found the body tho? in an earlier chapter the girls neighbour showed her pictures that would fit her brothers description (man in his 20s) and she recognised the scars on his back from their dads abuse.... she just denied it at the time but yeah

If they find the body,... Japan383 polic33 or polic33 in generally doesn't do much investigation if the person is convicted and suspected of crime with no evidence, usually they look around the ppl who knew him, past records and family, also to ask if the family wants to pursue further investigation. Coz investigating someone as bad as him will cost money and time, so they usually try to finish the investigation as fast they can. I know its against the right of free trial but the person is dead they can't do much especially if that person was will known to be a problem and has many enemies which means a lot of ppl to investigate. He died when it was raining then thrown into a body of water then the body will rot and evidence is washed away. They can also investigate it really well to find out if the killer is a bigger threat but polic33 ain't it... I read somewhere that Japan383 police are lazy... sadly ... I'm not an expert so please correct me
