I think what happened was that, the unfortune thing that happened and the nymph will save the people from that unfortunate thing, but the nymph was actually not the blonde gurl. And also that is shown on the first few pages, the father is so worn out and is trying some magic. I think what happened was that the nymph was not the blonde so the chaos occurred and the nymph was not alive at that time so there weren't someone who can save them????
