I feel like I know this manga but I forgot the name of it as well. If I'm correct, the teacher teaches about philosophy. The next few chapters that you've mentioned also has this one particular student who was academically smart but way too prompt and had a classmate who tried to commit suicide

This manga is about perpesctive on life where this teacher teaches on an unpopular elective where each students have something going on and gets explored in a chapter. First one is a student who is actively sexual and one day had a talk with sensei about life and what not when she got found out having sex. The next few days she contemplated on it and for the first time rejected sex with a group of guys who she usually has sex with, they did not like it. They attempted to rape her and she tried resisting. I can't remember if sensei saved her in time but it ended on a happier note where she found her purpose in life. The next few chapters explores the rest of the students.
